Early photograph of Cody on board boat - note seats along side and what may be a canoe further forward. He appears to be attaching rope (kite rope?) to wooden bollard on the boat. Ropes piled in front mat have kite significance? This image was taken in Calais and has "The final preparations before start" indicating that it was taken when Cody was making his cross Channel kite trip in November 1903.
