Two war kites being erected by S F Cody on left, Leon and Edward LeRoy (King) plus one other. Front kite is black with white wings, other is black, both with white edge banding. Crystal Palace. Similar to 628. Cody is also flying a kite (not shown), this could be the pilot for a later man lifting trial. Big kite has kingposts. Group including 104, 385, 387, 602, 622, 623, 624, 628, 707, 749, 791, 741 brings together most occasions when the group of three black kites were evident.
