Celebrate Tanabata at both The Wing and the Seattle Japanese Garden in the Arboretum with a shuttle to transport you between both locations. Start your day at The Wing with crafts and storytelling by Eth-Noh-Tec. Have lunch in the Chinatown-International District. Hop on the shuttle and finish your day with activities and performances at the Japanese Garden.

Celebration at The Wing:
10am-1pm: Crafts with Puget Area Paperfolding Enthusiasts Roundtable (P.A.P.E.R.) and the Drachen Foundation
10:30am and 11:30am: Storytelling performances by Eth-Noh-Tec
The Wing’s celebration is part of the Tateuchi Story Theatre Performing Arts Series sponsored by the Atsuhiko and Ina Goodwin Tateuchi Foundation.

Celebration at The Japanese Garden:
1-5pm Japanese calligraphy wishes with Meito Shodo Kai
1pm and 2pm: Japanese tea ceremony (must purchase tea ticket in addition to admission)
2pm: Traditional dance by Fujima Dance Ensemble

Shuttles will run every half hour from 1pm-5:30pm. Purchasing admission to one organization gets you free admission to the other (this does not include tea tickets, which must be purchased separately).
