For years, Canadian born Art Ross has produced spectacular, very large parafoils. His kites are characterized by their steady flight and lifting capabilities and are visible landmarks at most Northwest US kite festivals.  Art passed away in the summer of 2012.  His biggest kite was that of the Red Baron, 2000 square feet.
