A contemporary commercial Chinese swallow kite, made of nylon and bamboo. Handpainted. This is a swallow given to Ben Ruhe by Xu, Rong Zhen, the former sports official in Beijing, now retired. She is secretary general of the Beijing Kite Association. Extra nice woman, very helpful.
