Summay:

Single line, traditional Korean kite made by Korean artisan and kitemaker Sang-Oog Woo. The kite is made with a mulberry paper sail and five bamboo spars. The painted design of red circles against a black background is a replication of a design that is reported to have been used by Admiral Yi Sun-sin during a war against the Japanese from 1592-1598. Admiral Yi used kites to send messages to his army. This one in particular is an order to attack in all directions.
