Traditional paper Wau Merak by Musa Saidi of the State of Terengganu (Malaysia). Kite is made with intricately handcut pieces of metallic paper, backed with gift wrapping paper of printed plant motif. Uses bamboo or reed spars and has shredded crepe paper tassles and synthetic yarn at top and bottom. Hummer attached is two pieces sandwiched over the top of the kite, and is wrapped with paper and vibrating line of plant fiber. Kite depicts that of a "peacock" and has a plant fiber stem "plum" wrapped in synthetic yarn. Not bridled.

Includes documentation attached to back. Saidi was a contestant in the 2006 Pasir Gudang Kite Festival where he entered this kite M8/6.
