Summay:
Pages from a book, "Mannigfaltiges" is written at the top of every page, translates as "varied", so probably from a book of various subjects from Germany.
Illustration shows Miss Amelia RIce about to be carried airborne by a large Conyne-style kite. Printing on the kite reads: "Worlds greatest maker" (Large Fsk or Esk between greatest and maker) and on the other wing, "Dan RIce Jr." Drawing is from a photograph by Elmer Bidering, of Boston, USA.
I assume Amelia is the daughter or wife of Dan Rice, Jr. the kites maker. Kite is approximately 12 feet tall and 7 feet wide.
