Language: English Description: Throughout the history of kiting, the wind has been used for lifting, pulling, or carrying bold fliers into the air with what we have come to call "powerflying". The AKA encourages all types of kite experimentation and exploration. We also strive to promote safe and responsible practices. This powerflying manual is intended to combine those two traditions.

This is the first time that safety suggestions and racing rules have been published and distributed by the AKA for the benefit of casual fliers and event participants. The Association sincerely hopes that this information will make the process more secure and enjoyable for everyone.
