One of the best contemporary art kite artist in the world, Robert Trepanier of Canada never stops at anything to be creative.
Purchasing string winders from Drachen for his educational workshops, he sent us payment by making this cat kite envelope, of board stock hand painted with an image of a cat, and the backside spared with tree branches. The tail is of thin strips of plastic, 21 inches long. Although too heavy to fly, it is quite the kite sculpture. The check for payment was sewn inside the kite. It was posted through Canadian mail and arrived safely at our office in the United States.
