Hogarth's original was published in 1736, this is a finely crafted print, probably from the early 1800s, as the publishing house is in both London and New York.
Pear-top kite is hanging from a roof over the detailed scene of London daily life. Interestingly, the back of the kite is shown with spine and three attachments.
