Humpback whale songs recorded by whale researcher and kite aerial photographer Oscar S. Frey in 2008 and 2009. 7 tracks, one hour, 7 minutes total run time. Text from the back of the jewel case: "There was a time when the sailors of the seas were some of the few that could the ghostly mured sounds of whale songs from the waters below their ships. In a new age we are able to digitally capture the serene beauty of the whale song through live recordings made in their natural habitats. The Humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) can be found in and around the Bay of Banderas off Puerto Vallarta, Mexico from November through April every year. While here they use the acoustic properties of the ocean basin to amplify their vocalizations. Oceanologist Oscar Frey has been capturing the majesty of the Humpback wahles' songs for more than ten years. The compilation of his recordings represents some of the very best from his 2008 and 2009 whale watching seasons on Banderas Bay. To learn more about the research being conducted by Ocean Friendly please visit Oscar's website. Now, make yourself a glass of tea or pour yourself a glass of wine, sit back, relax and allow your soul to be pierced by the music of these divine creatures. Enjoy!" www.oceanfriendly.com
