Reproduction Voitlander bird kite designed by Gerd Blattert (Germany). This one was specifically for the Historical Kite Conference in Germany. Made using yellow cotton duck for the sail, leather connectors and linen lines for tensioning wings and a four-point bridle. All spars are wood, with metal fixtures for tensioning and connecting parts.

Traditional Voitlander bird kites were made for the promotion of Voitlander cameras, the oldest camera brand in the world. With the purchase of a camera one recieved a kite.
