Yaripa, Colombia kite, workshop kit from Junction Texas, made by The Ecological Kite Association. A traditional kite design, flat with tails. This kite design is hexigonal in shape.
Name comes from the Indians and designates the plant, yaripa, which is used ot make the kite spars. Sticks, spars, flower from the Yaripa plant, sail Colombian nylon, the joint/swivel is from a fisherman's shop, the line is usually waxed with bee's wax.
