Join us for a day of music, art, food and fun to mark the 100-year anniversary of the 1912 Seattle Parks Plan by John C. Olmsted. The celebration begins with Taiko and Bon Odori performances that precede a dedication ceremony at noon. Following the ceremony you’ll find a delightful offering of activities, food, demonstrations, and performances for people of all ages that reflect the park’s cultural history and surrounding communities. Watch Kirikiti (Cricket), traditional Japanese art kites, and lawn bowling. Get a good view of the new skate park while local pro-skaters spin it, check out the Beacon Food Forest in its early stages, take a walking tour hosted by the Friends of Seattle Olmsted Parks, and enjoy live performances in the out-door amphitheater throughout the day. An evening concert begins at 4pm with The Greg Ruby Quartet, Blvd Park, Mango Son, Wayne Horvitz and Sweeter Than the Day.

Jefferson Park is located on North Beacon Hill at 3801 Beacon Ave. S. Seattle, WA 98108. The park is easily accessible by multiple modes of transportation including light rail, bus, and bicycle, as well as automobile.
