In the world of historical kites, this is one of the most revered as it is the "quintessential" shape the the world has come to identify as "kite." This kite was designed by William A. Eddy in and patented in 1900. German historical kite replica maker, Holm Struck studied the patent and researched information on the kite to bring this workshop to Fort Worden Kite Retreat in 2007. It is an amazing replica, with detailing of the original, and the use of materials almost similar to that of Eddy's time.
